We dreamed of it: sheep, shorn live, in glorious real time, a global audience holding its breath as the fleece falls away. We built the whole thing. And then we remembered sheep operate on their own schedule and refuse to be booked.
Why “coming never”?
- Sheep will not perform on a fixed broadcast schedule. We asked. They wandered off.
- Shearers get stage fright. Sheep get stage calm, which is worse for drama.
- Our one camera is also the barn's only flashlight.
