Cookie Policy (oatmeal only)

ShornHub uses a small number of cookies and similar storage, none of which you can eat. Here's exactly what, and why.

Strictly necessary (our own)

• shorn_shepherd — a cookie holding your random shepherd ID so your votes, ratings and Flock persist. Lasts up to a year.
• shornhub_of_age — a small item in your browser's local storage remembering you passed the (joke) age gate, so we don't nag you each visit.
• shorn_viewed_* — session storage used to count a view once per video. Cleared when you close the tab.

These are essential to how the site works, so they don't require consent.

Third-party

• YouTube — we embed videos via youtube-nocookie.com to cut tracking, but once you press play, YouTube/Google may set their own cookies under their policies.

Advertising & affiliates

We don't currently run advertising cookies. Our shop links are Amazon affiliate links (see the Privacy Paw-licy). If we add an ad network later, we'll update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Clear ours and you'll be reborn as a fresh, nameless shepherd — circle of life. Blocking the essential ones may break voting and favourites.
