Smooth strokes fill your wool bag — get rough and you'll nick somebody, and a nicked pelt is a duff pelt. Eight shifts deep: night shearing by torchlight, lanolin spills, pen escapes, goats in disguise, celebrity flocks and one enormous Bertha. Keep an eye on the field: Gary the sheepdog likes to pass himself off as a sheep, and now and then the farmer wanders in. Catch them and they get a short back and sides too. Can't be bothered with clippers? The Shear Shop now stocks the BAA-B-Q 9000. Health & Safety have been informed.
